Can I start taking 5-HTP if I am taking Probiotics (Garden of Life Primal Defense Ultra).?
I'm currently taking the probiotics every day for digestive issues and I want to start taking the 5-HTP for anxiety problems. Would it be safe to take both of these on the same day on a daily basis??
Most likely won't be a problem, but I'd take them at different times of the day, rather than together, since 5HTP is absorbed through the intestines.
5HTP is tryptophan (an animo acid) -- you might want to eat more protein so your body can utilize it. And also, cut way down on sugar to help get it through your system.
