Resvinatrol Complete

You have heard that a glass of red wine every day is good for your heart. You may have been told that a glass of wine with dinner, so common in France, cancels out the effects of butter, fois gras, cream, and lard. The reports about the health benefits of red wine are real, although exaggerated. But if you have Type 2 diabetes, you should drink only with caution.

Drinking alcohol, even in moderation, lowers activity in the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain that controls judgment, planning, and willpower.

There are two important reasons alcohol is especially hazardous to the diabetic brain:

1. The first is that Type 2 diabetics, especially if they have a strong appetite for sweets, (which is not a moral failing but just a simple reality), may have worn out their brain's ability to respond to the neurotransmitter dopamine. Too many sweets, just like too much methamphetamine, too much gambling, too much sex, or too many hours playing video games, make the brain less sensitive to dopamine.

This brain chemical is essential to transmitting the messages from the thinking, judging, planning, sensible part of the brain, the prefrontal cortex, to override the hungry, hysterical, daredevil part of the brain, the limbic centers. Drinking alcohol makes it even more difficult to keep from going out for burgers at 3 in the morning or eating a whole chocolate pie... because it was on sale. But that is not the only problem with alcohol in the diabetic brain.

2. If you are diabetic, you have a busy liver. Your liver is constantly having to reprocess insulin and stress hormones. Diabetes medications, including insulin, never work perfectly. There will always be highs and lows of blood sugar levels, and your liver has to work overtime during both. That's why your liver is not able to detox the alcohol in your bloodstream.

People who only drink occasionally may find that just one drink is enough to get totally 'looped' or 'snockered' after they develop Type 2 diabetes. Just one drink may not only undo a diabetes diet, it may also devastate a marriage or a job.

You can get the benefits of drinking red wine by taking resveratrol... you will get several thousand times the benefit of drinking red wine by taking resveratrol in supplement form.

If you have Type 2 diabetes, it is wise to not drink any kind of alcohol for your health, and only drink alcohol when you know you won't be getting yourself into situations that damage your health or your relationships. If you are taking medication for your Type 2 diabetes, talk to your doctor before imbibing, since the alcohol you drink passes immediately into your bloodstream, persists for up to 36 hours in your blood, and can interfere with the action of some medications.
