It's probably obvious to you that you shouldn't bombard your opt in mailing list over and over again with a bunch of ads or product offers. You need to provide some useful content so they look forward to your emails and start to view you as an expert and a person they can trust.

Now there's nothing wrong with making product offers and to be truthful your subscribers will even be expecting some. But it's important to that even when you make product offers, strive to be informative and give free valuable content that they are interested in.

And don't be afraid to share the good and the bad. If the product doesn't work for everyone, say who the product is for. If it has a few flaws that can be overlooked, share them. If you can show your readers how to use the product, do that.

The more information you can provide beyond the sales pitch will always be appreciated by your readers and they are more likely to take your recommendations.
