Natural remedies for acne and eczema are powerfully effective for improving both of these skin conditions. If you have been experiencing long-term chronic acne or eczema flares it's time to look at some solutions.

The first thing to do to help with the immediate symptoms is to apply a good quality aloe vera gel. Aloe stimulates a powerful healing response and will have an immediate soothing effect. Lily of the Desert is a good name brand available at most health food stores.

The best aloe gel product I've used is from a company called Aloe Life. It's called Aloe Skin Gel. It's a combination of very potent aloe, comfrey, chamomile, and vitamins A, C, and E. Pretty basic, but I have seen it outperform most other products on the market.

Another product worth mentioning here is Cellfood Oxygen Gel. It's much more expensive than many other effective products but if the eczema is extremely bad, it'd be worth the extra. It's a base of aloe with additional enzymes, trace minerals, and dissolved oxygen. In my work as a nutritionist, I've seen people heal skin cancer with this product. I'm not making claims that it would work for everybody, I'm just expressing what I've seen happen with quite a few clients.

At the same time the aloe gel is being applied topically, aloe juice should be taken internally. One ounce taken on an empty stomach twice a day (morning and night) for 3-4 days and then 2 ounces twice a day. This should be continued for at least 2-3 months. The symptoms will usually start getting better much sooner (7-10 days) but it'll take a little time for long term resolution.

More natural remedies for acne and eczema skin conditions include probiotics, cultured foods, greens, diet changes, and increased water intake. Let's cover these in order.

You should also take a quality probiotic aggressively (at least max. recommended dosage or as suggested by a trusted practitioner knowledgeable about natural remedies). Probiotics will help to strengthen your immune system. This will allow your body's natural healing mechanisms to speed the process. It will also help with any underlying problems with digestion and assimilation of nutrients in the intestines.

Eating cultured foods such as yogurt, kefir, kim-chi, and miso will help but should not be relied upon. They are common natural home remedies, but not the most effective. They help transiently but will not always be enough to re-establish proper intestinal flora balance. Do some research and get a really high potency, high quality probiotic and plan on taking it consistently for 3-6 months. There is probably some major imbalance and long term supplementation will be more likely to get long term results.

Probiotics I have had good results with include Jarrow-dophilus EPS (by Jarrow Formulas), Kyo-dophilus (by Wakanauga), and Multi-dophilus (by Sedona Labs) make good products. For a little more money, try Healthy Trinity (from Natren), or Dr. Ohhira's Probiotic (from Essential formulas).

Probiotics, aloe gel, and aloe juice will be effective. If you want to kick it up another notch, add in a super greenfood. Super Greenfoods will provide nutrients and chlorophyll to cleanse the blood. This will, in turn, help to make your body more alkaline, a more conducive situation for healing to occur. Perfect Food (by Garden of Life), Kyo-Green (by Wakanauga), and Just Barley (by Pure Essence Labs) make good products. There are lots of high quality products in health food stores from which to choose. Do research, get a good product, and plan on taking it for at least 2-3 months.

Dietary changes are necessary for acne and eczema conditions. For the sake of simplicity, I'll make this simple: Stop eating processed food. All the chips, soda, cakes, cookies, crackers, processed meat, fast food, etc. It's garbage food and you know it. Start eating whole foods like fresh fruit, veggies (especially leafy greens), whole grains (not flour, real whole grains), legumes, raw nuts (almonds and walnuts are best), seeds, and herbs.

You'll also want to drink at least 64-80 ounces of water to maintain healthy kidney function. Even if you don't like water, drink it. It'll really help you get the relief you want.

If you make no other changes to your lifestyle, just drink more water and add aloe vera juice to your life. These two simple natural remedies alone can bring dramatic relief to your condition.
