Chances are you have read some (if not many) articles about how to lose lower stomach fat. Some swear by doing exercises in areas around the waist, some say these exercises are a waste of time. Let us put an end to this argument here.
Traditional abs exercises do work, BUT ONLY if done properly. Here are some tips on popular exercises to help you lose lower stomach fat.
The Traditional Crunches
Remember, the key is doing the exercise properly. Get in regular crunches position, but keep your legs at 90 degrees angle at your ankle. And make sure you can "feel" your core abs muscles working, not your back.
The Air Bicycle
Get on your back on a yoga mat or something hard to keep your back straight on the floor. Have your hands and arms by your side. Now flatten your tummy, raise your legs and pump your legs in the "riding bicycle" motions. Feel your abs working and burning. Do this for about 3 minutes, rest, and do another two sets of 3 minutes in between rest.
Exercise Ball Balance:
This is a very tough exercise to cheat at, and very effective if done properly. Simply balance on the large exercise ball on your stomach, with your arms or legs not touching the floor. This exercise forces your abs muscles to contract in order to stay balanced on the ball.
Remember, the key on how to lose lower stomach fat is to do the target-abs muscles exercises PROPERLY. Doing half-washed abs exercises and taking short cuts will not be effective to lose lower stomach fat.
