Ginseng is a very ancient herb cultivated in Korea and China. It is also grown in some parts of Siberia. Ginseng has been considered as a rejuvenative tonic. Russian Ginseng is also available but is believed to be of inferior type.

Ginseng also reduces fatigue, improves memory, and also helps to increase the immunity of the body to ward off flu and other seasonal illness.
Ginseng is found to contain many unique ingredients which have a stimulating action on the Adrenal Glands. Adrenal Glands secrete hormones in stress situations and it is believed that Ginseng acts due to its unique action in stimulating the Adrenal glands.
Another ailment which has puzzled the medical community is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Persons suffering from this syndrome react poorly to commonly used analgesics. Ginseng has been used with success in such conditions.
